The Rincon Mountain District features the Cactus Forest Loop, where you can see unique cacti, and the Freeman Homestead Trail, where you can learn about the area's original settlers. The Rincon Mountain Saguaro Wilderness Area has a cabin that was built in 1905 by former Tucson mayor Levi Manning.
- Tucson Mountain District
Start your tour of the Tucson Mountain District at the Red Hills Visitor Center, where you can watch a video about the Native American perspective of the saguaro cactus and see natural history displays. You can then hike the Valley View Overlook Trail or stop by the Signal Hill Picnic Area to examine ancient rock drawings.
