This hotel is very comfortable and convenient to everything "tourist" in St. Augustine. Far enough away from the historical district to have a quiet stay and close enough that the tram/train picks you up at the front door. Staff is great too.

Average place to stay and I have stayed at other Carlson that where better and cleaner. Bathroom shower need repair and the hallway next to our room was not has clean has it should have been. Location was good but it was about a mile from the downtown area.

All the plumbing in both these rooms is old & needs to be replaced. Neither the bathtub nor the sink in either room held water. The faucets don't meet ADA requirements. The toilet in 104 would be difficult to flush for anyone with upper body weakness. In the room we were moved to from our original room, one of the lamps wasn't plugged in, there was no clock, & for some reason you couldn't turn off the TV with the remote. Every time you tried it would switch itself back on. We had to press the power switch on the TV to turn it off. Every night at around the same time, for an hour or so my wife would detect a sulfurous odor whose source we were never able to locate. Neither of the rooms we stayed in was ADA compliant. The room was only accessible for the very loosest value of "accessible". In 208 the security latch was at a height you can't reach from a wheelchair. There was no telephone showerhead in the tub & management told us none could be obtained. We were moved down to another room (104) that had a roll-in shower but the hose on the spray head was too short to reach the built-in bench. You also couldn't reach the controls from the bench. On (thankfully) our last night there the bench cracked & started to come away from the wall.
