we have stayed here many many times before. booking through the carlson site was ok, check in was very nice, upon getting in the room, we had food that needed to be put into the rooms refrigerator unit, before it was opened, there was a sticky looking orange-ish liquid that was on top of the fridge and its face of the door that looked like it streamed down the front of the fridge, and onto the bottom off not only the fridge but the cupboard its in, that had to be cleaned up by us it was disgusting, and filthy like it was never seen by your maid service, then after a very long 10 hour drive, we needed to freshen up, and the bathroom had grit like someone had dirty workers boots that walked in there, and apparently was not cleaned by the maid service either, both of those things were immediately brought to the attention of the desk clerk girl, who was told, and she said for that inconvenience, she took a certain amount off our bill. at breakfast time, we actually got up earlier than usual, and went to get something to eat in your dining area, but even before that, EVERY SINGLE country inn and suites we ever stayed at anywhere else has their drink machine on 24/7. yours was off, we asked and the girl said that they turn it off as soon as breakfast is over, well I'm thinking its off so you can sell stuff for your patrons to buy, instead of getting something in passing. anyway we went to breakfast the next morning, and saw the most pathetic display of breakfast items, absolutely no fruit, like apples bananas or even oranges, EVERY other country inn and suites has fruit out 24/7 that we have stayed at. you have no fruit NOT EVEN FOR BREAKFAST. your selection of items is terrible, there was only cereals, bread, biscuits, english muffins, NO bagles, no danish, that EVERY other country inn and suites has out, and not only that your hot foods, just eggs, gravy, wheres everything else, most places have meats, like ham, sausages bacon, etc... there were no hard boiled eggs, and the most important thing, we had to ask the breakfast attendant who was extremely nice explained to us a lot of how the breakfast has gone down hill to save money for the owner. seems to me that you get enough bookings, you're not hurting in that department since you are near the casino, and pittsburgh as well. who's kidding who. we been staying at that location now for at least 15 years in the beginning of june, and mid october to break up our trip home to buffalo, from myrtle beach. very unlike any country inn and suites, and i dont know if the problem is ownership, or just bad management. the final thing was after breakfast, we were ready to leave, so we needed to put our refrigerated foods back into the cooler for our last leg of the trip home, another 3-4 hours, and when we opened the fridge, we noticed that our food wasnt cold, but the fridge was not working right and ruined all the food we put in there. it was stuff that we eat during our drive so we don't have to waste time stopping, we told the morning desk girl, and she said because of that, she was deducting an additional 10 dollars off out bill. we left, and were checking our bank as we do almost every day, and noticed that several days later, there was a $20 charge put on our card we used for the country inn and suites, that was not authorized by us, and we had checked out 4 days earlier, and did not ruin anything in our room. When we called the hotel, the girl looked to see why this was charged without our authorization, and she told us that Jim, who happens to be a manager there put that charge on our account, for no reason we could see. we spoke to him about it, and tried denying he did it 1st of all. we told him to remove the charge, or we would have a charge of fraud made against him, several days later it was back on our account. THE MORAL IS CHECK YOUR BANK ACCOUNT AND CREDIT CARDS DAILY

Thank you for the taking time out of your day to write your review and for your continued patronage. It is a delight to know that you were pleased with the check in process. On the other hand, we are sorry that your experience fell short at that time. We apologize that you were not satisfied with your stay due to the multiple issues you've encountered, in particular, the cleanliness of your guest room, condition of amenities, availability of the facilities, the breakfast did not have enough options for you to enjoy as well as the sudden charge on your card. We understand the inconvenience an unexpected charge can cause and this is certainly not the kind of experience we would like for our valued guests to have. We are glad to know that the charges on your card was already rectified. Your feedback is highly appreciated and will be forwarded to the hotel management for further improvements and to ensure that situations like this won't happen again. We hope for another opportunity to make a more favorable impression in the future.

Conveniently located, fine for one night. Bathroom was dirty, mold in shower, sink was dirty around edges, hotel needs to look after details. Didn't use pool but it looked fine. Staff was friendly but room could have been cleaner.
