Choose the cornfield side for real quiet! (Cheryl S)

We prefer first floor rooms. The north side faces a corn field. (FloBear2013)

If you want REALLY quiet I guess you'd stay on the back of the hotel (facing the corn) and get a room on the top floor. But I was on the bottom floor facing the corn and the only noise was the obviously very large man walking around in the room above us for a little while before he went to sleep. (mainsail4)

We stayed for the weekend and enjoyed the great friendly service from the staff. The hotel was very clean. The pool was alive with families having fun. We had two connecting rooms and we were very happy with the cleanliness of the room, bathrooms and the beds were very comfortable. We visited Galena and the antique shops in Elizabeth and the hotel was near those places. Overall I would recommend the hotel.

I intended to stay in Dubuque, Iowa as that was where the event I intended to attend. This was the closest Country Inn to Dubuque with available rooms. It is a smaller, 2 stories only, facility but I found it to be every bit a quality facility. I will consider using it when I am in the area.
