I have mentioned my review in my notes, other then my few complaints the hotel itself is great! Club Carlson is wonderful and I stay at a hotel in that group when we can. I wish there were room service as there are two restaurants in the same building and neither of them are allowed to enter the hotel, I don't understand that, I think you are underutilizing a very nice amenity that is available to your guests.

I've been to the casino a number of times, they offer a good poker tournament selection and a good tournament experience which isn't true of all casinos/card rooms in MN. The structure is such that it's good. The casino also offers craps and roulette which aren't offered live in Minnesota. The odds on craps are more favorable then what's offered in Nevada, and the offering of other table games is good as well. It is a smaller casino so it doesn't offer a ton of games, but enough to keep you interested long enough. Plus a lot of contests for the different games as well. The hotel is conveniently attached to the casino unlike the Best Western which is a short walk away. The room was nice, the view on our side of the building was a corn field, but hey, it's Iowa. The room was clean, the tv worked, etc... we didn't spend much time in the room. We didn't use the pool or hotels computers, etc... but saw people using the pool and hotel computers so I'd bet those were at least adequate. This hotel is attached to the casino, so that's it's main draw I'm sure. We played Golf at the Rice Lake Golf Course, which is only a 20 minute drive away. It was one of the better courses I've played on. So the location of this hotel offers a lot of options. We didn't get to the Worth Brewing Company which is also a short drive away. We ate at the nicer restaurant attached to the casino/hotel, the meal was very good. I've eaten at the buffet before and would recommend avoiding it. As far as negative things go, and they're minor, the ac was kind of loud, but we chose to run it at a lower temp (it was a really hot day out) so it was churning most of the night. The breakfast is what you'd expect of a hotel offering a breakfast... not really a negative but I don't think any chain hotel offers much for a breakfast and honestly it wasn't expected, there are other places in the attached casino to eat breakfast.
