Things to Do in Delhi
Spoil yourself with a shopping spree at the DLF Promenade and Ambience Mall, two massive complexes with a wide selection of brands. Nearby Sheetla Mata Temple honours a well-known Hindu figure and offers a peaceful atmosphere. Be sure to visit these other area favourites:
Chhatarpur Temple – Just three kilometres from the hotel, this site is composed of several smaller temples dedicated to individual Hindu deities. Make your way through the expansive complex and marvel at the intricate marble sculptures. For a memorable visit, stop to see the holy threads tied around a tree by hundreds of devotees.
Qutab Minar – This victory tower, located seven kilometres from the hotel, was built at the end of the 12th century by the first in a line of Muslim rulers. Several of these rulers made additions to the minar, indicated by the different materials used to build each new storey. Additional structures include the Alai Minar—an unfinished tower meant to surpass Qutab Minar.
Bahá'í Lotus Temple – As its name implies, this architectural masterpiece is fashioned into the shape of a lotus blossom. Members of all faiths are welcome to visit and find comfort in these hallowed halls, 16 kilometres from the hotel. Take a minute to explore the information centre, which features a short video on the construction of the temple and details about the Bahá'í faith.
