“Typical Country Inn - good value, free breakfast, hot tub review by DWMott from North Carolina

    Trip type:
This was a typical Country Inn, with good value, free breakfast, and an indoor hot tub and pool. We were going to stay at a different Country Inn about 50 miles up the road, but we learned by reading Trip Advisor reviews that the hot tub had been closed. So we switched to this one in Morrisville, near the Raleigh-Durham airport. Hot tub and pool were fine, staff were friendly enough, bed was comfortable. My wife thought this Country Inn was not as clean and/or updated as others we have stayed in, but it seemed fine to me and ultimately she was satisfied as well. Breakfast was just OK. French toast was dry the first morning, there was nothing special about the breakfast, and staff in that area were very quiet. Otherwise breakfast was satisfactory, convenient, and pretty typical of free hotel breakfasts. On the positive side, the bacon was crisp the second morning and the coffee was excellent both days. Also, they had real butter and half&half, which some hotels don't. Overall, a decent stay and we would stay again if in the area or passing through. The indoor hot tub is the main reason we stay at Country Inn's, but not all of them have one.
