    We stayed one night for an event nearby and was disappointed with the lack of staff, old/sad dark room with smelly pillows and blankets, carpet I had to wear shoes while walking on, very loud heat/air conditioning unit, and shower/tub with moldy streaks. It was a too pricey stay for over $150 a night for a room that felt like a motel. Breakfast was inedible for healthier folks where the only protein was super salty sausage (no eggs!) and the only staff member working the breakfast area replenishing the food also took out the trash, and she didn't look happy. Not a good vibe here.

    Very disappointed! This property needs a complete renovation! But then all the hotels in Doswell, VA need to be completely renovated or new new hotels built. For my next event at the Horse Park, I won't be staying in Doswell.
