Things to Do in Chippewa Falls
Experience the beauty of Chippewa Falls at Cabin Ridge, a sprawling tract of land that features horse-drawn carriage rides and picnic areas with space for bonfires. To learn some local history, browse the Civil War artifacts at the Chippewa County Historical Society. You can also stop by the Chippewa Falls Chamber of Commerce's beautiful new building located right at the entrance to downtown on Bridge Street, or check out Ojibwa Golf & Bowl or Bye The Willow beer and wine lounge. Don't miss out on these additional favorites:
Downtown Chippewa Falls – Located just five minutes from the hotel, downtown is home to a number of unique shops and restaurants. If you have a sweet tooth, stop by the Chippewa Candy Shop to snack on decadent milk chocolate blueberries, triple-dipped malt balls and soft-serve ice cream.
Leinenkugel Brewery – The Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company has produced top-notch beer since 1867. Drive about five minutes from the hotel to tour this brewery and learn the secrets behind “Leinies.” Adults receive delicious samples at the end of the tour, and don’t worry if you’re traveling with family—kids are provided soda to ensure they have fun too. Afterwards, stop by B&G Liquors to purchase your favorite brew to take home with you.
Irvine Park & Zoo – The park opened in 1906, and three years later the Irvine Zoo started with the donation of a black bear. Located about 10 minutes from the hotel, Irvine Park & Zoo is a great place to spend the day picnicking and watching exotic wildlife, including white tigers and hyenas. Stop in the summer to visit the petting zoo, and visit in the winter to see the park covered in thousands of twinkling Christmas lights.
