North rooms are quieter. Excellent breakfast. If possible, delay your arrival by a few weeks to allow them to complete renovations. (Terry C)

“Non-smoking review by ryanlQ1277QN from Athens”

Upon my arrival to the Country Inn and Suites I checked in and received excellent customer service. I then went to my room which was two queen size beds that I rented for my brother and myself for $450 for one night, upon entering the room it reeked of cigarettes. I then walked back down to the lobby and addressed the lady and gentleman that were working the front counter and asked them if the room that I rented was a smoking room and their response was there are no smoking rooms in the hotel. My response then was questioning why my room smelt strongly of cigarettes and they said theres no way it could smell like cigarettes. I asked if one of them could come up to my room to smell and their response was that they couldn't but they would make a note about the odor in the room. I then asked them how can I feel assured that my room was even cleaned if they weren't even aware that it smelt like cigarettes and they couldn't answer that question. For $450 for one night which I gladly paid these are the reasons I will not stay at your hotels or recommend your hotels to anyone ever again.

Thank you for reaching out and writing your review. We are sorry you were not satisfied with the accommodations of your room. We normally don't have an issue with rooms smelling like smoke and I apologize that yours did. I will talk with my housekeeping staff and make sure that they notify the front desk when they have a room issue like that.

The lobby is excellent, the breakfast left us hungry with it's VERY limited offering. Our room was nice but showed signs of aging,,,,,hot tub was under repair. Good signe was the new furniture stored in the lobby.
