    The staff at the Alexandria Country Inns & Suites were fantastic. Hospitality is definitely a high mark that is hit often at this location, which is a great asset for a small hotel in a smaller city. The late afternoon/early evening Front Desk Manager, Teresa, had the greatest positive impact for me when she went out of her way to make my mother feel welcome in staying overnight (wasn't planned, but my room only had me in it originally). On a -14 degree late night, she then could not get the front fireplace to start up and resorted to calling her husband to help. It was clear that her management made it clear that the idea behind "whatever is best for the customer" was held in high regard for she and her colleague management team. The only few items that we mentioned to the staff that I would also send on to the management team would be: 1. The Pool Center door uses a completely separate Pool Keycard and the keycards gave so many troubles. We had to have Front Desk re-program the cards numerous times each day (and we stayed four nights). 2. The Fitness Center was nicely equipped, however, during each morning I worked out (four mornings total), I found the quite a few items that simply needed daily housekeeping/hospitality teams checks/balances. 3. No on-premise change machine whatsoever (for laundry, vending room). Front Desk ended up only having a dollar worth of quarters to give. 4. WiFi continued to disconnect (on iOS iPhone, iPad, Android phones and Mac computer) after only a few minutes of use, requiring to re-connect (it did stay logged in, however). Seemed like an IP address lease issue.

    stay was terrible from the beginning. room was not clean. carpet was filthy. they need to upgrade carpet, furniture, paint. hallways also need an upgrade. I didn't have towels in the room. it smelled in there like it hasn't been cleaned for months.
