Our family had stayed at Country Inn & Suites eight years ago and were very pleased. However, this visit was extremely disappointing. Though greeted by a sweet young lady at the front desk, our check out gentleman was not as pleasant. Nothing in particular that he did wrong, per se. Just not super personal nor friendly. When we entered the hotel, it was obvious that the accommodations had not been properly cared for over the years. The stairwell railings were wobbly despite metal reinforcements to correct the problem. Our bathroom shower area had hairs in the tub indicating that the area had not been cleaned properly since it's last guest, and the pool area was gross, to say the least. Water covered every surface so that there was no place for an individual to sit nor a place to set belongings brought in. Brown stuff (dirt? rust?) was mixed in with the water in places around the floor. All this caused us to question the cleanliness of the remainder of the hotel and the freshness of the breakfast served.

Understaffed, even for a holiday. The breakfast area was poorly maintained. Housekeeping was good in the room. Linens and towels were very nice. Overall, the building maintenance is less than typically expected. Paint and carpets are starting to show wear and general upkeep appears to be lacking. No longer what my family has come to expect from Country Inns. Not really worth the price.
