    I spent the weekend here to be close to both Charlotte and Wingate University. It is the perfect location! I feel like I got a great rate, a nice clean room, and felt welcomed by the friendly staff. My picky eater of a daughter even ate breakfast!

    Windows were broken and unable to be locked, even on the second floor where there is a ledge and footprints outside the window. Room was damp and not very clean (visible dust, crumbs on carpet, etc.) I was able to get a decent night's rest and go, but I would not stay there again.

    The staff at the Matthews, NC location went above and beyond the call of duty for the families (or solos) that had to evacuate from the WImington, Oak Island, Southport areas (just to name a few). The breakfast was very good, the rooms very clean, and the pool remained open. Whereas, they normally do not allow pets, the General Manager opted to allow animals. That was a blessing for many people who stayed there. One staff member, in particular, "RB" worked from 8am to 11pm doing the breakfast room, front desk and housekeeping since some staff members could not get to work (flooded roads). I highly recommend this hotel whenever you are in the Charlotte, NC area.

We are so happy you enjoyed your stay with us and made you feel like you were at home! We also let the guest bring their pets with them because we know they are part of your family and they should be with you during this time.
