Things to Do in Lewisburg
For a nostalgic movie experience, catch a flick at the Campus Theatre in downtown Lewisburg, one of the only Art Deco movie houses in the nation. Also downtown is the famous Street of Shops, where you can buy vintage furnishings and antique collectibles from 375 stores housed inside a historic woolen mill. Don’t miss these other favorites during your visit:
Bucknell University – This 450-acre campus is located in historic Lewisburg, just two miles from the hotel. The university participates in NCAA Division I sports, so check out the athletic schedules and cheer on the Bison while you’re in town.
Canoe Susquehanna – As the longest river on the continent without commercial boat traffic, the Susquehanna provides an ideal setting for canoeing or kayaking. Canoe Susquehanna, three miles away, offers fun guided trips that include lessons, snacks, dry bags for spare clothing and water blasters!
Packwood House Museum – Drive into downtown Lewisburg to see this historic “Gem in the Susquehanna Valley.” Originally a tavern and inn for river travelers, the Packwood House lost business when the Pennsylvania Railroad came to town. Today it boasts treasures from the 1800s to the early 1900s as well as century-old Japanese cedar trees.
