The oldest fort in Jammu, this popular pilgrimage destination was renovated by the Dogra dynasty in the 19th century. After paying your respects at the indoor Hindu temple, you can enjoy a leisurely stroll through the royal terrace garden, where locals flock to enjoy picnics surrounded by flowers and fountains.
- Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex (4 km)
Once home of the Dogra emperor, this complex now boasts several palaces, courtyards and government buildings. The outside wows visitors with a blend of Rajasthani, European and Mughal architecture. A notable stop is the Dogra Art Museum, which houses important artefacts, including Emperor Shah Jahan's golden bow and arrow.

History buffs won’t want to miss this historic palace turned library and museum, home to impressive artefacts such as a 120-kilogram golden throne, miniature portraits and a collection of more than 25,000 books. The building was designed by a French architect in the classic French chateau style.
