Things to Do in Fort Worth
Fort Worth is a vibrant area with a rich history. See the only painting by Michelangelo to be displayed in America at the Kimbell Art Museum, or tour the campus of nearby Texas Christian University. For a truly memorable visit, don’t miss out on these local favorites:
Stockyards Station – This popular destination is dedicated to the heritage of the Old West. Located just 10 minutes from the hotel, this facility features cattle drives, reenactments, walking tours and the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame. Stop by the Stockyards Gunfighter to duel gunslingers or exterminate zombies in a virtual gun range.
Sundance Square – Named after the famed Sundance Kid, this downtown hot spot is about 10 minutes away. Sundance Square is home to a variety of shops, restaurants and places to practice your Texas Two-Step. Visit the Bass Performance Hall to hear the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra or watch a Broadway musical in a unique, intimate atmosphere.
Fort Worth Zoo – This zoo has a dozen expansive exhibit areas built to closely resemble natural habitats. Drive 15 minutes from the hotel to see the zoo’s Museum of Living Art, where hand-painted murals accent more than 5,000 reptiles, amphibians and other creatures. Be sure to check out the Burmese python and one of the largest saltwater crocodiles in North America—both measuring more than 15 feet long.
