    Elevator broke and we were on fourth floor. Checkin required fulkl form to be completed even though I am a Carlson Club member and had made the reservation that way. They had my wife's name down, not mine and she has no Carlson Club membership. Given a room with no pullout even though I said two adults in King and need pullout for grand daughter. No towels Saturday morning in the pool area.

    Your tabacco chewing night auditor greeted me at check-in by spitting into his cup as I walked up to the counter. Great first impression and it gets better as I register. I am told I need to move my vehicle to a another parking lot which turns out to be over a mile from the hotel in an unsecured area. I waited for the van driver to finish his slice of pizza, in the lobby, so I could follow him to the lot. I told the driver I was not happy about my truck being so far from the hotel. He did not talk to me. I made arrangements to ride the shuttle to the airport at 4am. I waited for the elevator for quite some time and was at the front desk at 4:02am. I asked the same front desk person where I was suppose to be to ride the shuttle. He said it had left and then tapped his pen several times on the computer screen and said, "Its 4:02 and you are late!" I remarked that I was 2 minutes late because I waited for the slow elevator and he tapped his computer screen again and said I was late. I told him he was right and I was sorry. I am tired and I can"t believe I am being talked to this way by an employee of your hotel. My daughter and I were told by your auditor that he would call the van back but first the van was to drop off the other people on the shuttle. We said great and thank you and went outside to wait. Here is when your employee goes way out of his job description. He decides to follow us outside and proceeds to lecture me about the shuttle business and how I was out of line for being late. I replied by stating we have flown out of Chicago many times and use the Park and Ride. We have been late once before but received a call from the front desk at the Chicago hotel as well as we have waited a couple of times in the shuttle van for other traveling guest. Well, that gave your employee an excuse to really school me until my daughter stepped forward and said to him, "my mom said she was sorry, what do you want?" I we stayed at the hotel for a total of 5 hours. We checked in around 11pm and left at 4:30am. It was a miserable 5 hours. I can not believe you would hire someone like that.

    We apologize for the disappointing service you received from our staff. Our team works hard to make sure our guests are comfortable and receiving our best service. I truly apologize on behalf of myself and him. This is far from the reputation he and our front desk have earned over the years and I know my team more often than not praised for their service and welcoming attitude. Once again, I am really sorry that you had this happen to you during your stay with us. Our shuttles have to run precisely on time, therefore, the shuttle had leave without you. We appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention, and hope for another opportunity to exceed your expectations in the future.
