Our hot tub room had a malfunction and leaked water all over unbeknownst to us until the front desk called and told us water had leaked into the room below us and the room below that. This would take a LARGE amount of water. One of the desk clerks came up to check it out, didn't mention anything at all the water level and informed us she would send up the maintenance man (why would she send a maintenance man if the water was overflowing?). So our night was interrupted by the maintenance crew coming up, who had what appeared to be a 6 year old with him. My girlfriend was pretty upset at this point so we decided to leave the hotel. The front desk receptionist refunded our card, my girl friend cried the whole way home because my birthday surprise had been ruined. A few days later my girlfriend checked her credit card for the refund and it had not been issued, when she called and inquired about it the desk clerk advised us the General Manager of the establishment said we had flooded there room and we were not getting a refund. So are you telling me two mid forties adults sitting and talking while sitting in a tub, didn't notice water running over the top of the tub (nevermind the fact that there is an overflow drain) for a long enough period of time for water to leak two entire floors? Under the grounds of the maintenance man said there was nothing wrong with it? Who is to say the maintenance man wasn't covering his own behind? General Manager was supposed to call us over 48 hours ago to discuss the matter, needless to say he has not. I would have preferred to discuss and resolve this with someone within their organization, but since nobody there has reached back out to us ( i emailed corporate, and phoned the hotel) I left this review. updateThe owners response Response from the owner33 minutes agoWe are sorry to hear of your unsatisfactory experience during your stay. Basic rooms, but nice having a suite with two TVs. Had problems with policies. Confusion over first night of reservation caused it to be charged when we did not arrive. They would not add a night on the back end, so we paid for 4 and stayed only three. Be careful when making reservation. Convenient for Mid-America Center and the casino.

It was stuffy when we got to the room but we opened the window and it was fine. Stayed for a soccer tourney. Good location. Rooms were a little outdated compared to some we have stayed in but clean. Good price. The only problem we had was the pool was closed on our second morning due to some issues. Otherwise overall was a good stay!
