At Country Inn & Suites, we invest in long-lasting connections to each other and our communities by managing our hotels in a responsible manner. We are proud to share a few responsible business activities that make our hotels a more inviting home away from home for guests.
Reducing Our Impact on the Environment Serving our complimentary, hot breakfast on real dining ware with real silverware not only tastes better, but it allows us to reduce the amount of plastic and excess waste at each of our locations.
Many hotel operators also provide LED light-bulbs and low-flow shower heads and take advantage of our cold water laundry program. Plus, select front-desk uniforms are made of recycled fibers. These little things can add up in a big way.
For guests staying multiple nights, our terry and linen reuse program gives guests the option to reduce the frequency of bedding and towel changes.
A Special Focus on Literacy
For the past two years, in recognition of National Literacy Day, Country Inn & Suites hotels have hosted book drives through a partnership with Read Indeed. We collected more than 10,000 books to benefit literacy organizations within our local communities.
Read Indeed is an international charity founded in 2008 by then 8-year-old Maria Keller. The organization has distributed nearly 1.9 million books to children in need worldwide. We are honored to have helped Maria’s passion for sharing the gift of storytelling.
