I read so many rave reviews of the hotel and was very excited to get such a great deal, through Hotwire, for our stay. The lobby, breakfast area, pool area, and rooms are nice. The hallways could use some TLC and updating. The area that was really sad was the stairway we used to go out to the parking lot. It was filthy. I know employees must be able to see the TONS of cobwebs all over the ceiling, covering the sprinklers and cameras, especially because this stairway leads to their smoke break area apparently. The breakfasts were lovely and the kitchen staff were very friendly. Not friendly, on the other hand, were the front desk staff. Never a smile from anyone. Come on folks, you're in the HOSPITATLITY business, try some kindness. The second day we were there, when we returned to our room, we had received fresh towels. We had no new toiletries, no garbages were emptied, beds were still unmade (not a big deal,) and nothing anywhere had been wiped down. I was afraid to go ask for toiletries at the front desk due to the aforementioned lack of friendliness. But I did ask and when I asked about the room not being serviced, I simply got a shoulder shrug and a "that's weird, I will have to find out who did that." I am disappointed because I REALLY wanted to like this place and talked it up to my husband, but unfortunately it fell short of any expectations I had, and I am not a picky person. I just like clean hotels and friendly service.
