Sunbathe on the Sand or Take a Boat Tour

Discover a variety of exciting things to see and do while you’re in Candolim, including visiting the centuries-old Aguada Fort or the beautiful rocky coastline of Dona Paula. Soak up the sunshine at Candolim Beach, just one kilometre away, or travel a few more minutes to the popular Baga Beach and Calangute Beach to parasail, boat and snorkel. Panjim City provides a host of shopping and dining opportunities and also offers architectural sites. For a great day trip, travel just 35 kilometres to the Ponda spice plantations to learn how the region's spices, such as cinnamon, coriander and nutmeg, are grown.

Beaches

  • Candolim Beach (1 km)
Just a short walk away from the hotel, Candolim Beach is a great option for guests who want to enjoy the beach but don’t want to fight the crowds.
  • Baga Beach and Calangute Beach (6 km)
Pack your beach bag for a day at one of Goa’s internationally famous beaches, where you can swim, parasail, boat, snorkel or simply relax under the Indian sun with your toes in the sand.

Architecture and Sightseeing

  • Aguada Fort (5 km)
Built in the early 1600s, this Portuguese fort served as a defence structure against the Dutch and as a water station for passing ships. During your visit, check out the enormous water cistern and four-storey lighthouse.
  • Panjim City (15 km)
Spend a day touring Panjim City and catch glimpses of churches and temples crafted in the beautiful Portuguese architectural style. You can also shop, dine or attend a festival in the city.
  • Dona Paula (17 km)
Extraordinary seaside views, a rocky coastline and a whitewashed statue that is perched on the rocks overlooking the jetty have made this area a popular tourist destination. Dona Paula is also home to the National Institute of Oceanography.
  • Ponda Spice Plantations (35 km)
Find out how cinnamon, cardamom, coriander, vanilla and nutmeg are grown when you tour these spice plantations.
