“Party hotel and unsupervised children running around review by 45shereeh from Statesboro, United States

Although I think the hotel itself is very nice, very clean, and the rooms are presented very well - clean bathroom; nice, comfortable bed - I've stayed here twice in the past month and have the same concerns that just prevent me from staying again. Number one - the walls seem to be paper thin. Part of my concern on my very first stay was there was a party going on in the next room that required attention from the front desk beginning at 9:00 p.m. When it started stretching into 11:00 then midnight, that's when the cops should be called. That's utterly ridiculous. Plus, you have hoarders in the breakfast area who fix five waffles at a time to take back to their room or take half the eggs and bacon as soon as it is placed in the heater just to feed two small children who don't need that much food and it all just goes to waste. But I was willing to give it another shot. One thing that concerns me as an attorney, I suppose, is the fact that so many small elementary school age children are allowed to be unsupervised in the pool area. I've seen as much as six or seven kids unsupervised at all times of the day and night. You have a hot tub - presumably for adults - that looks rather inviting yet why would I go in there to take a nice relaxing "dip" when you have 1st and 2nd graders running around the pool screaming at 11:00 at night. I have kids and they're all adult age 18 - 20 so, yes, I do understand what it's like to have kids but there's also an "adult time" and I don't feel that way at this hotel. I feel there is no one empowered to enforce the rules and I've only seen one person - ever - at the front desk. The first time the girl left all the time to go outside and smoke. This time a different girl was over there cleaning the breakfast area. Isn't that someone else's job? I don't mean to sound crude. I really wanted to enjoy my stay but it just didn't happen. Paper thin walls, a growing reputation as a "party hotel", no enforcement of the rules, and I just don't want to go there again. If you're using this is a "romantic getaway" don't go. If you don't mind feeling like you're in the middle of a Chucky Cheese then this is the hotel for you.

Front desk agent and other employees were friendly. Hotel has an in-room whirlpool, a great amenity. The breakfast food serving area was extremely small. There are ways to expand it. The lobby was nice with decors and pictures and other showcases; however, that made the breakfast area smaller.
