We last minute decided to get away for the weekend and enjoy a baseball game at Safeco Field. As we didn't want to stay right in Seattle, we chose a hotel close enough, yet far enough out. As a Carlson Club member, Country Inn & Suites came up and decided this was it. I am glad we did. The rooms are comfortable and gave us the best nights' sleep we have had in a while. The rooms were quiet and neat. The breakfast was enjoyed. A choice of bread/pastries, coffee, milks, juices, yogurts (both dairy and lactose-free), waffles, eggs, a hot meat (ham, sausages, etc), potatoes, fruit salad, etc. They serve right up to cut off time. We tried dinner in the lounge and was pleasantly surprised. I chose the Chicken Marsala (very good) and we shared a plate of vegetarian spring rolls. Jennifer recommended my choice and was very pleasant and informative. A place we would return to if we are in the area. The staff are professional and helpful.

The Staff was very friendly and welcoming, the hotel was clean, there was a fire in the fireplace to sit around, and the complete breakfast could be enjoyed indoors or in a nice setting outdoors. The staff seemed very attentive.

First, the hotel was outdated. Clean, but the wallpaper was peeling off, the furniture from the 1980's and the general feel very old. Room layout was awkward to say the least. Because the headboard backs up on the bathrooms any hallway noise is echoed in the bathroom and almost amplified in the actual sleeping area. The pillows were abundant, but so flat they were almost no use unless you stacked 3 together. The doors to the hallway do not have the "soft close" feature of most hotels so when people don't actively hold they door and shut it softly you hear a big "slam". I happened to be staying for business at the same time as a group of construction workers. 5:30-6am all I hear is the slam of doors as they headed out. Bathrooms could also use a big facelift. Hair dryer provided was useless - I regret not bringing mine from home. Saving the best for last......... I contracted ringworm during my stay, most likely from the couch that was in my room.
