Chris was so helpful in accommodating us in a specific room at the hotel. My mother is 85 and we have stayed in the Wyomissing, PA location since it opened 13 years ago. We take a mother/daughter vacation to shop each year. My mother loves room 214 at the top of the steps from the lobby...and we have been graciously housed there many years. Gail, in the breakfast room, is a gem. She keeps things spotless and well-stocked. She is very friendly and helpful each year. The new room decor was lovely and the beds were so comfortable. We love this hotel, feel safe and secure there, and will return again.
All of your front desk staff was very professional, helpful AND friendly. They spoke to us each day coming and going and were genuinely pleasant. When we realized the fridge was broken, the front desk sent up the maintenance man (I think his name was Mike?). Anyway, he wasn't comfortable with the adjustments he made (we had our two 8 yr. old granddaughters with us) and brought us a new fridge. We really appreciated that! Also, each day when we returned from the convention, the housekeepers had arranged all the stuffed animals around the 2 beds! It was very cute, thrilled our granddaughters and added a very nice, homey touch. We definitely appreciated their kindness. Of course I can't leave out Gail Long! She made that breakfast room come alive. She was so friendly and helpful that some of us hugged her on the last day! Personally, I think you have some of the best staff of any hotel that I've ever stayed in.”
I believe this was our fourth or fifth stay at this property over the past five years. We are always very favorably impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the woman in charge of the breakfast room. She does a great job. The improvements and redecorations of the Inn are commendable. We also were favorably impressed by the Wednesday evening aperitifs and hors d'oeuvres.
The staff was so nice, helpful and always spoke to everyone coming or going. The bed was as comfortable as my bed at home. I will never stay in another hotel in the Wyomissing area; I will be your customer.
The staff at the hotel is always friendly and courteous, it is nice to have that kind of treatment when away from home. That is why we choose to stay at the Country Inn & Suites when we visit the area. Thank you for your hospitality.
The room and hotel were spotless!! Front desk staff was extremely helpful with directions.
My wife wanted to surprise the kids (3) and take them to Crystal Cave in Kutztown PA. So I, being the travel agent that I am (only kidding) planned an itinerary. First to Crystal Cave, then to hotel with pool, then to a restaurant, then to another thing to do on the way home. This became your hotel, The Works restaurant with their huge game room in Reading, and a farm with giant corn maze in Morgantown. The kids had a great time and all the things they did (Crystal Cave, The Works game room, the giant corn maze) their favorite thing was staying at the hotel with a pool. They loved being able to swim (a little cold) and hot tub, your beds, your cookies and lemonade in the lobby, making their own waffles, riding the elevator, your lobby fireplace and steps. They would have been happy if we stayed in a local hotel (Atlantic City or Cherry Hill) that had a pool. Like the commercial... the total trip was expensive, the hotel with a pool experience was priceless. We would definitely stay there again... maybe incorporate it with Reading outlets.
The breakfast lady, Gail is the nicest person. We have never seen a hotel breakfast so well stocked, so CLEAN, and such a wonderful lady. Even when it was mobbed (busloads of shoppers for the outlets) she made sure the extra room was opened and all guests were made to feel comfortable. She was totally engaging to our 4 year old and he gave her hugs when we left each morning. The lady who checked us in was also great; she took notice that we wanted rooms together (4 rooms) and although we hadn't asked for this in advance she quickly took care of this and we were all together- further enhancing our good time. We stay here each time we come to Reading to see my mother. My husband and I thought about how the stages of our lives were traced to this hotel, we stayed first when we were dating, then married then without a child but with his parents for their first road trip to PA and the Amish country (and sadly the last trip we were able to take them on before they passed away), and now we stay there with our son. The hotel has fit all stages of our lives. We have stayed in many other hotels and other Country Inn and Suites, and this is the best! Please be sure Gail gets some special nod of thanks!
This really was the friendliest hotel I have been in for awhile.
