The reasons are manifold: numerous free attractions, a park and lots of outdoor activities, great shopping, excellent restaurants, and even a historic site. Summer or winter, there's plenty to do at the Forks, from festivals and concerts to ice skating, skateboarding (Canada's largest urban skate park is here) and walking. Check out the Forks Market Plaza with a six-story tower and a viewing platform, the Wall Through Time (depicting events that took place here over the past 6000 years) or the Manitoba Children's Museum.
