Gambols are fun, bawdy games and songs that were popular in 18th century taverns and pubs. Patrons are encouraged to participate ­ so order up a house ale and enjoy the scene. As for the atmosphere, the old pine floors, rustic walls and primitive furnishings provide the perfect setting for the fun and a meal of stew, sandwiches or other light fare. The gambols usually start around 9pm. Lunch is also served daily.
