COLONIAL WILLIAMSBURG. Affiliated with the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, this gallery is free to the public and carries many traveling exhibits from Richmond. The museum showcases many regional artists and is heavily involved in the local art scene at William and Mary and in the community.

COLONIAL WILLIAMSBURG. Built in 1985 by world-renowned architect I.M. Pei, the museum contains one of the world's largest collections of historical American and British furniture. Their collection of British pottery is also the largest outside that country. Over 8,000 decorative art pieces from 1600 to 1830 are permanently on display in the 11 galleries. Rotating exhibits are also presented, and a courtyard, cafe and gift shop are located on the premises.

WILLIAMSBURG. Located on the William and Mary campus, this museum had its first painting donated in 1732 by the Earl of Burlington. Now the collection has grown to over 3,000 works of art. Particularly noteworthy is the museum's collection of American and English portraits and Native American pottery. There are various events and seminars held at the museum along with rotating special exhibits.
