The historic space provides time-tested character, and its off-the-beaten-path locale means that it's not a huge tourist spot. It is, however, considered something of a dive in the nicest, most beloved sense of the word. Chuck's is worth a visit for its charm and its low-key ambience, not to mention its intriguing, alternative clientele.

Ask for a taster glass to sample any or all of the brews to see which you like best. Also offered are a full bar and great food. Start off with spinach artichoke dip, and then consider excellent and reasonably priced sandwiches, pastas, appetizers, and more. Entrees include baby back ribs, crab cakes, blackened sea scallops, and chicken and sausage Creole. Daily lunch specials and lots of artwork are also crowd-pleasers.
