    This hotel is in a generally quiet area. You do have jets from Mira Mar going overhead, just stay in a lower floor and it won't be an issue. The staff is great. Efficient, friendly and quick to solve any problems. They serve a large breakfast every morning, with plenty of dining space even if every one shows up at once. Close to nearby shopping, dining and freeways. Great place to stay if you want to visit San Diego but don't want the craziness of central San Diego.

    The rooms were clean, staff was very attentive to our needs. The food was great and tasted very good. My grandchildren loved the sty as well as my children. The hotel was convient to various stores and restaurants which made the trip even more enjoyable. The facilties were clean and neat. We had not problems with the appliances in the room. Hotel was nice and quiet.

    I travel all over Africa and have stayed at 3 star hotels there that put this hotel to shame. The place was dirty, food tasted old, and the staff were dismissive. The first day we arrived we found a carpet drying fan in the middle of our floor, a dirty chair on the bed. When I advised the cleaning staff of the problem they just laughed, but finally came to pick it up. The power went out for 8 hours one of the days (the generator only powered emergency items e.g. elevators). Our AC unit went out one night, and after noon the next day they finally came up to fix it. The hotel is mismanaged, and a real disappointment for a Carslon run hotel.

    Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your candid feedback. I am very dissapointed to see that your stay with us was not as enjoyable as possible and it is apparent that we missed some opportunities to meet your expectations. I would like to apologize for the issue you experienced upon check-in and I assure you that the staff handling of this issue is completely unnacceptable and has been addressed with the appropriate department heads. Additionally, I would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused by the unplanned power outage in the local area. As power outages are extremely rare, the generators we have are equipped to maintain emergency power until full power is restored and I apologize for any issues this may have caused you, including the issue you experienced with the AC unit, which was a direct result of the power outage. I assure you that this is not a typical stay at our hotel and we would love the opportunity to show you just how enjoyable a stay with us can be. Thank you once again for your feedback.
