It ain't Disneyland or Knott's Berry Farm, but this quaint 12-acre park doesn't aspire to be, and parents will be pleased with the relatively reasonable ticket prices. The smoke and mirrors are few and far between, but more than a dozen rides include the Stockholm Raceway, Thor's Hammer, Cliff Jumper, and the Scandia Screamer coaster. More tame are the batting cages, miniature golf and 150-game arcade. Best of all, an entire family can visit without blowing the mortgage payment!

Rates are surprisingly reasonable for a course of this caliber, and the on-site School of Golf provides lessons.

Stocked with 150 different aircraft ­ from Russian Yakovlev World War II fighters to antique American biplanes to an early Douglas A-4 Skyhawk jet ­ this aerospace museum is a treasure trove for anybody awed by the magic of flight. About one-third of the massive collection is air-worthy and restoration projects are constantly underway by volunteers. This is the home of the 475th Fighter Group collection, the planes of a highly decorated group of World War II pilots who flew the Lockheed P-38 Lightning into combat.
