Cinco de Mayo descends on Omaha for an exciting weekend of events. Get lost in the culture and exciting entertainment of Cinco de Mayo. Activities kick off Saturday morning with the Cinco de Mayo Parade. Shortly afterwards, visitors can enjoy the fun and sun at the Fiesta, which includes music, food, rides and games. On Sunday, there's the 5K run/walk, followed by a Car Show, and finished up with more partying at the Fiesta!

The initial lighting ceremony takes place on Thanksgiving evening, and the display extends the length of the Gene Leahy Mall, from 8th to 14th St between Farnam and Douglas Streets. The lighting kickoff features choral groups and bands, performers, horse-drawn carriages, and a parade. There is also a fireworks display on New Year's Eve.
