Welcome! Gather round for a "Tale of Two Cities"....an amalgam of cultures, a gumbo of people and a blend of architecture and atmosphere like no other. Experience New Orleans, "The City that Care Forgot", with a historically accurate and interactive tour that you will never forget.
From the comfort of your seat, in climate-controlled vehicles, you will view the French Quarter, Jackson Square, St. Louis Cathedral, the famous French Market, infamous Bourbon Street, Esplanade Ave and the Riverfront, as well as New Orleans' famous City Park.
Then it's off to the ninth ward for an up-close and personal view of the wrath of Hurricane Katrina. You will also see the homes built by Brad Pitt's "Make it Right Foundation" in an effort to help restore the neighborhood. Your guide will show you where the water entered the city and explain the levee system that surrounds the city.
The next part of your journey takes you back in time, where old colonial mansions and ancient oak trees lined beautiful Saint Charles Ave. You will travel along the route of our magnificent Mardi Gras parades. See Tulane and Loyola Universities and Audubon Park in the most beautiful part of New Orleans, the Garden District.
Hotel pick-up in the morning is from 9:30 to 10 a.m., with the tour starting at 10 a.m. In the afternoon, hotel pick-up is from 1:30 to 2 p.m., with the tour starting at 2 p.m. All city tours last approximately two and a half hours.
