Acting Out Theatre Company
Presenting "Big River" on the banks of the Kankakee. Show dates are July 27th, 28th and 29th (rain dates July 30th and 31st) Bring your own lawn chair and blanket. Children are free and all others are $10 per person. The fast paced musical based on Mark Twain's The Adventure's of Huck Finn will sweep you down the mighty Mississippi (or in our case the Kankakee). Join the irrepressible Huck Finn as he helps his friend Jim, a slave, to escape to freedom. Their hilarious, suspenseful and heartwarming adventures bring your favorite characters from the novel to life.
Propelled by an award-winning score from Roger Miller, the king of country music, this jaunty journal provides a brilliant theatrical celebration of pure Americana. Please join us before the show for our River Fest, open 5:30-7:30 p.m. Bull's Pit BBQ will host a pig roast with all the fixin's each night. There will also be ice cream, sweets, popcorn and more!
