Location is good, very near to QueensBro Plaza subway and below 5 miles to times square. The staff can improve performance, breakfast can be improved as well, the refilling should be quick there is less space to sit in the breakfast area maybe they can work on providing more seating space for breakfast

“My worst stay at a Country Inn so far.”

All right, check-in time is 3pm but I had an overnight flight and arrived at the hotel at 12:15pm (check-out is 12pm): the reception made me wait 2 full hours in the lobby without any willingness to speed up the preparation of my room (I'm a Carlson Silver Elite guest and was the only one waiting for my room). Breakfast is terrible: completely overcrowded during summer, have to wait 15-20min to get a seat, cleaning is lame after an hour and the hotel was lacking of almost everything while there was almost still an hour to go: jam, doughnuts, cereals, fruits... When I asked the staff to bring some more of the missing products, instead of being sorry and trying to help they sort of told me that I should come earlier, that "it has been busy this morning" and that they won't have doughnuts before tomorrow... Lame for a hotel whose job is to think of that based on the number of people staying. Beware that there is no parking, you will be directed to a $20 per day parking lot. The only good points worth it are the room cleaned properly and the location close to subway line 7 and a station service next to the hotel where there is a mini market. Access to JFK using public transportation is not that easy with luggage.

    “Dirty and Unacceptable Service”

Firstly, as a premium Club Carlson member, I was not recognized and offered any welcome gift as I expect in all other Club Carlson hotel. Secondly, the carpet is very dirty. Last but not the least, I forgot my charger in the room. I called back one day after the check-out, the agent who answered my phone asked me to call back one day later as the person who is in charge of Lost and Found was not around. I called one day later and got the same answer. Four days later I called again, I was told any unclaimed item would be thrown in the garbage (literally the word used) after two days.... I find the excuse ridiculous and unacceptable.

We are so sorry for the way the room was presented to you and for the way your concern was handled after check-out. We have discussed the carpet issue with our housekeeping staff and rest assured that this will be worked on immediately. We will also look into the issue that you raised about our lost and found staff and we will definitely take necessary actions to correct this demeanor and prevent this issue from reoccurring. We would like to apologize for any inconvenience these issues may have caused you and we would like to ask for another chance to make it up to you. We promise to provide you with a much better experience and we are hoping that you’ll visit us again soon.
