    The hotel staff was very unfriendly and rude from the time we arrived. The room was a disaster. The bed sheets were ripped and dirty (found hair that wasn't mine). We asked for new sheets and it took 5 calls and 2 stops at the front desk to get somebody to change the sheets. We also noticed there was a hole in the ceiling where a smoke/co2 detector was supposed to be. When I told the manager, she insisted that we couldn't smoke in the room, over and over, and that it wasn't a safety issue. She and everybody on the staff barely spoke English. When I told her I was calling the Fire Department, she finally sent somebody to install a new one. The new one was broken and didn't work. Another 30 minute wait, and he hooked up a working one that beeped every 2 minutes. This was the first night and the above took over 2 hours to get resolved. I almost forgot about the toilet that once flushed continued to flush over and over again. We went to breakfast the next morning and found the dining room to be packed with people and everything was dirty. The juice machine was broken, the hard boiled eggs weren't completely cooked and the fruit was far from fresh. Several staff pushed into my wife and never said excuse me or apologized. After getting ready for the day, we informed the manager that we needed new sheets on the bed since the replacement sheets were also ripped, a new smoke detector and the toilet issue we discovered. The only thing that was fixed when we returned was new sheets. I awoke on the final day to a bed bug bite on my arm. Great ending to a great stay at the worst hotel I've ever stayed at.

    Easy walking to/from Metro in safe neighborhood. A lot of street traffic during rush hours nearby but not disturbing at the hotel. Hot breakfast bar with choices but variety does not change from day to day. Request a room with a view on floors 5 and up. Complimentary newspapers and helpful staff.
