Strike a yoga pose with hundreds of others on mats paving the streets of Times Square, see any or all of 30 dance companies perform and sway to the sounds of jazz, swing, classical and Latin as the sun hangs high in the sky. Best of all, it's absolutely free.

From puppet shows to plays, to concerts, dances, storytelling and everything in between on stages that are accessible and kid-centric. The SummerStage Kids events team has put together a month-long menu of offerings to combat the inevitable "I'm bored" and turn it into "cool!" In all five boroughs, in every available public park space, different events are offered almost every day of the week. If it rains, fear not, local community centers (adjacent to or just a quick walk from the park venues) host the events so no one gets wet.
