About Little Falls
Little Falls is not so "little" when you consider all the attractions in the city. Charles Lindbergh, famous aviator and son of a Minnesota congressman, spent much of his boyhood here, and the Charles Lindbergh Historic Site chronicles many of his exploits. Another historic attraction, the Minnesota Military Museum, takes visitors on a journey through the state's military past--from frontier days to the present. For more history, visit the historical downtown shopping district to pick out the perfect souvenir. Outdoor lovers will appreciate the city's Crane Meadows National Wildlife Refuge, Lake Alexander Preserve, and Pine Grove Park and Zoo. Many of the best dining destinations are in the downtown area, but The Landing at Lake Alexander is a good bet for exceptional dishes. Nightlife is standard fair, but First Street Bar and Cabin Fever Saloon & Eatery provide a light and interesting atmosphere. History, natural beauty and a stylish downtown make Little Falls a true Minnesotan oasis.

Visitors can find Staurolites, or "fairy stones," at Little Falls's Blanchard Dam. These intertwined crystals look like crosses, and it is well known that Presidents Wilson and Theodore Roosevelt, Thomas Edison and other well known figures kept these stones close by for good luck.
