"Much thanks to you and your staff...throughout our stay your staff was very helpful and courteous. They even recommended places to eat, shop [and] leisure. Our family had five rooms to attend a family member's graduation at Pepperdine University and this was truly a warm and happy experience."

The Getty Center
J. Paul Getty viewed art as a civilizing influence in society, and strongly believed in making art available to the public for its education and enjoyment. He founded the J. Paul Getty Museum in 1953. This small museum, established in his ranch house in Malibu, housed collections of Greek and Roman antiquities, 18th -century French furniture, and European paintings. Fascinated with the ancient world of the Mediterranean, he later built a Roman-style villa, modeled after the 1st-century AD Villa dei Papiri. Located 20 miles from the hotel.

LA. Los Angeles. The City of Angels. This fabled metropolis famous for its celluloid history is part reality, part dream. It's also sprawling. Four thousand square miles of Los Angeles County is divided into five distinct regions: Downtown, Hollywood, The Valley, Westside, and the Beaches. This geographical diversity also extends to LA's wide-ranging ethnic mix the richest in the country. Visitors to the city are met by a cultural mélange that's reflected in the city's art, entertainment, architecture, dining, and music. Tourist hot spots are many and well-known: Universal Studios, Warner Brothers, Twentieth Century Fox, Rodeo Drive, Melrose Avenue, Dodger Stadium, The Getty Center, Chinatown, and Disneyland® Resort . This destination also offers more museums than any other American city (over 300). Along with professional basketball and baseball franchises, and an abundance of outdoor opportunities at several national and state parks, this is one place where the fable lives on.

Hooray for HOLLYWOOD! Or is it Hollywoodland? Originally it was. In 1923, the famous sign's 50-foot-tall letters were used to promote a real estate development. It wasn't until 1949 that the "land" part was dropped. Over the years, the sign has been altered to spell out different words, including "Hollyweed," which noted the leniency towards marijuana in the '70s. In 1994, surveillance equipment was installed to deter vandals.
