“If you pay more than $100/night not worth it.”

    Friends getaway
Let's be honest this place is sub-par and for the $110/night I paid I would've stayed somewhere else. We just stayed this past weekend April 16th - 19th, 2015 and it was a place to hang out for a few hours and to sleep. We stayed in a King Suite which had a living room and a little kitchenette. We were in town to visit friends who moved to Fond du Lac but I would not stay here again. We stayed in Room 311 and the cable that went into my laptop was busted and wouldn't stay plugged in. The wi-fi was flaky and would randomly turn on and off (all 4 days). If I had been working from the hotel, I would've been in big trouble. The comforter on the bed had noticeable (and large) stains on it when we arrived. There were no extra facial tissues or bags for the garbage cans (in case we didn't want housekeeping) so I had to go down and get them on two separate trips. Then our last night there our cards did not work at all for our door (at 11pm after a LONG day of landscaping our friend's yard). So my husband had to go get replacements and no apology was offered and he had to ask why they didn't work "oh someone keyed the number of days wrong." Okay, thanks for that. There were noticeable cracks in the ceiling in all of the rooms and actual 1 to 2 inch gaps in places in the ceiling corners (which was a bit alarming). The fan in the bathroom did not seem to work at all. Also it is a good thing that we sleep with a fan on (that we brought) because the non-stop air brakes from the semis getting off of the highway right next to the hotel was not advertised on the website. I paid with cash upon check-in and I had to ask for a receipt (was not given one or offered one), so I could be sure I had documentation that I just handed over 300 plus dollars. That was just odd. Breakfast was advertised as this big free buffet and we watched the pre-cooked eggs being slid out of a slimey bag into the servers (yuck). On the weekend the whip cream, strawberries, and real plates and silverware were taken away like we were children and could not be trusted to use "grown-up" items. The ONLY plus was the rooms were somewhat sound proof and so the girl's hockey team that was staying at our hotel was pretty quiet (even thought they were hanging out in the hallway and going in and out of rooms all night). The "fridge" could fit less than our small cooler, so don't bring a lot to put in there. The shower head was so low that my 6' 2" and myself (5' 8") kind of dreaded taking our showers, as we hunched over. I got my rate by going directly to their website but it is just not a place that I would pay that much money to stay at again. I have stayed in $65/night places that were nicer.

We always stay at this hotel when we visit relatives in the Fond du lac area. It is very clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff is without fail pleasant, efficient, and always willing to answer any question we might have. Our room was large, comfortably furnished and well maintained. The bathroom is also large and well stocked with towels and other supplies. I like the lighted mirror outside the bathroom so I can apply make-up, etc. while my husband showers. Also there are plenty of outlets so all our electronic devices could be charged, if needed.

My room was very nice and spacious. I love the fact that the refrigerator was in the room because I like to buy drinks and fresh fruit when I travel. The fruit stayed crisp and the drinks stayed cold. The bed was incredible! I fell asleep almost as soon as my head hit the pillow. Love being that comfortable away from home! Recommend this hotel to everyone
