Daily Events: Georgia Aquarium Daily Georgia Aquarium is billed as the world's largest and contains well over 100,000 separate animals, including four whale sharks and five beluga whales. Attracting a million visitors within 100 days of its opening, the aquarium features the awesome Ocean Voyager exhibit in which visitors pass through a 100 foot underwater tunnel. Other animals to be seen are African black-footed penguins, California sea lions and piranha.
Michael C Carlos Museum Emory University Daily; not Mon The Michael C Carlos Museum is the centrepiece of Emory University's historic quadrangle. One of the premier museums of ancient art in the South, it contains extensive collections of work from the Americas, ancient Greece, Rome, Egypt, Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia. In addition to the permanent collection, it regularly hosts travelling exhibitions.
Dad's Garage Annual Theatre Season Dad's Garage Theatre Daily Atlanta's indefatigable Dad's Garage Theatre Company performs 52 weeks a year, with Improv nights from Thursday to Sunday (except Thanksgiving and Christmas Days) and innumerable shows. There is an annual season of some five productions (available as a subscription) which continues the company's innovative policy of bringing new work to its two theatre spaces in Inman Park near Little 5 Points.

Fernbank Museum of Natural History Daily The stars of the Fernbank Museum's permanent collection are, without a doubt, the dinosaurs. Said to be two of the world's biggest, the Argentinosaurus and Giganotosaurus are respectively 100 feet long and 45 feet long.
Olympic Museum at Atlanta History Center Atlanta History Centre Daily The hosting of the Olympic Games in 1996 marked a watershed in the history of Atlanta. A traditionally Southern city, it was thrust into the glare of the world. The Olympic Museum chronicles the effect of these games upon the city and region through the use of multimedia presentations, images, artifacts and interactive displays; it even retains the maple flooring upon which the US basketball team won their gold medal.
Stone Mountain Park Daily Mountain carving a la Mount Rushmore (but with a confederate theme), amusements and hiking trails are all part of the fun at Stone Mountain Park. The 3200-acre park features a three-story treehouse, a cable car, a scenic train ride, a 4-D theatre, laser and fireworks shows. Stone Mountain itself climbs to over 500 metres at its summit and has great views of downtown Atlanta.
CNN Studio Tour CNN Studios Daily A major attraction for Atlanta visitors and residents, the CNN Studio Tour offers an overview of the art, science and technology of news reporting. Visitors get to look back over CNN's coverage of news events that have shaped the world during the past 20 years, as well as getting a sneaky peek at the studios where the events are reported daily to over one billion people worldwide.
King Center for Nonviolent Social Change Martin Luther King Jr Center for Nonviolent Social Change Daily The King Center for Nonviolent Social Change is a memorial and education centre built in remembrance of Martin Luther King Jr. Run by his son, Dexter Scott King, it is located in a beautiful setting close to where Dr King grew up.
Jimmy Carter Museum Jimmy Carter Library & Museum Daily The Jimmy Carter Museum contains photographs and memorabilia from the politician's life and career - most notably from the years of the Carter Presidency (1976-1981).
