This easily accessible, state-of-the-art airport is located eight miles from downtown, and it is the world's second-largest FedEx hub. It features two concourses with 40 terminals to handle domestic and international flights.
IND offers over 18,000 parking spaces, with fees ranging from $9 to $20 per day. The first floor of the parking garage houses eight rental car facilities, and other ground transportation options include taxi, limousine, and commercial shuttle services.
If you are traveling by car, the airport is located off I-70 via Exit 68.

IndyGo features 30 fixed routes, including the Green Line, offering non-stop service from Indianapolis International Airport to Downtown, and the Red Line, a free route connecting Downtown with the IUPUI campus. Day passes are available for $4.00. Visit www.indygo.net for more information.
Taxi service is another transportation option, and Indianapolis Yellow Cab has been the premier taxi service provider for more than 50 years. Fares begin with a $3 pick-up fee and are set by the city at $2 per mile, plus 40¢ per minute waiting time and 65¢ per each additional passenger.

More specialized papers include the Indianapolis Business Journal, a weekly newspaper that focuses on Central Indiana business news; the Indianapolis Recorder, which covers local news and issues in the African-American community; and NUVO, a weekly free paper focusing on entertainment, recreation and lifestyles in Indianapolis. For local college publications, check out the Sagamore from IUPUI and the Collegian from Butler University.

Tipping Standards Although tipping is not required, it's expected in industries like food service, hospitality and transportation. A waiter or waitress, taxi driver or room service attendant should be tipped 15-20% for good service. Keep in mind that many restaurants add a gratuity to bills for large parties, so be sure to review your receipt before leaving a tip. A $1 to $3 tip is appropriate for a housekeeper, doorman or bellhop for good service; a concierge who offers assistance beyond directions, such as finding tickets or dinner reservations, deserves a $5 tip.
