Downtown Denver: Just 13 short miles to the center of historic downtown Denver! Home of 7 professional sports teams!! On the northern edge of the city is a section of Denver the locals call “LoDo,” or lower downtown, where refurbished Victorian and turn-of-the-century buildings and warehouses are home to an eclectic array of restaurants, art galleries, offices, and shops. Be sure to check out our mile long shopping district, 16th Street Mall.
Go West: Just 90 minutes West on I-70, you could be skiing or gambling, maybe exploring the outdoors while hiking in the Rocky Mountain National Park or the Rocky Mountains. And even closer to town is Golden, CO the home of Coors Brewery. Go a little bit to the south and see one of the most iconic entertainment venues in the world, Red Rocks Amphitheater.
Go Northwest: Historic Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park, great shop and fun eats and you can be there in just 85 minutes. If you are feeling very adventurous, drive on up to Mount Evans and view, or drive depending on the weather, across North America’s highest paved road, Trail Ridge Road. On the way stop and experience historic Boulder!
Go East: Take I-70 west for about 15 minutes and experience the Front Range Airport, future home of Spaceport Colorado and Watkins, CO just little further and visit the quaint towns of Bennett and Strasburg, CO.
Go South: If you were to take I-25 south for about an hour you would end up in Colorado Springs at the base of one of the most majestic mountains in the state, Pike’s Peak. Take a ride on the Pike’s Peak Railway and tell all your friends that you rode the world’s highest cog railway!! Before you leave, be sure to check out the Garden of the Gods. If you have the time, you might also plan a visit to the Air Force Academy.
Go North: Just 60 minutes north is Fort Collins. Fort Collins is home to awesome indoor and outdoor recreational activities, diverse cultural attractions, a vibrant nightlife scene and family fun galore. Visit the Budweiser Brewery and Event Center or the New Belgium Brewery, home of Fat Tire Amber Ale.
