Billed as the county's oldest and largest annual festival, the Sweetcorn Festival attracts thousands of folks to downtown Urbana the last weekend in August. Great live music, terrific food and activities to engage the entire family are featured each day. Associated events include live music on multiple stages, a vintage automobile rally and a family area for kids. Parking is free at several designated lots, including the Urbana Parking Garage on Elm Street.

One of the area's most highly anticipated annual events, the Boneyard Arts Festival has a wide, varied scope. Performance artists, entertainers, musicians, painters, sculptors -- all get a chance to shine during this three-day celebration of the arts. Events and promotions are held at various venues (including coffee houses, art galleries, bars and restaurants) in Champaign, Urbana and the surrounding communities. Although some events are free, fees may be charged for certain festival-associated happenings.
