The Appalachian Festival promises to deliver three entertaining days of arts, crafts, food and fun. Folk music plays in the background as patrons browse the flea market, take coal mine tours and even participate in the Classic Car Show. Events take place throughout the county, from the convention center to Uptown Beckley to the Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine, giving guests the opportunity to sightsee while enjoying a taste of the town.

Over 50 recipes are entered each year, vying for the prize of "Best Chili" in the city. Each is available for tasting while guests enjoy entertainment in the form of music, dancing games and demonstrations. Just $5 allows participants to enjoy the biggest street party in Beckley.
